10 Años de Remo en Punta Carretas.

El sábado 9 de marzo celebramos los 10 años de remo en Punta Carretas. Realizamos una regata interna en botes individuales y cuádruples, y luego sacamos a todos los remeros al agua, contando con cincuenta personas en 16 botes distintos disfrutando en equipo, para sacar “La foto de la década “.
Niños, jóvenes y adultos disfrutamos una jornada a puro remo, cerrando con un asado de confraternidad, con entrega de medallas, diplomas, rifas y grandes momentos de unión remera, recordando que más allá de los botes y la infraestructura, a un Club lo que lo hace grande es su gente!
En el single femenino, la ganadora fue Clementina Firpo, segunda Verónica López y tercera Virginia López. En el cuádruple mixto de adultos, la tripulación de Nicolás Barriola, Sergio Blengio, Marcela Vázquez y Águeda Puig (Timonel Clementina Firpo) venció a Carolina Urrutia, Alfredo Monetti, Gabriela Etchehebere y Juan Lopardo con el timón de Gonzalo Hornos. En el single masculino juvenil, Facundo Benítez fue el vencedor, segundo Martín da Silveira y en tercer lugar Gabriel Firpo. En cuádruple mixto juvenil ganaron C. Firpo, Miguel García, Joaquín Marrero e Ignacio Araújo, timoneados por Paul Cousté. Segundos con el timón de G. Firpo, Verónica López, Joaquín Giannini, Agustín Toma y Juan Delgado. El single de adultos fue ganado por Germán Médici, seguido por Fernando Bauzá, y tercero Claudio Lombardo. Por último, en el single novicio Paul Cousté venció a Miguel García.
Los voluntarios del evento se merecen una mención extraordinaria, ya que a ellos se debe el éxito de la jornada. Desde la preparación, control, logística, hasta colocación de boyas, armado de pista, hasta el pastoreo de las tripulaciones a la foto, y la organización de la cena.
La entrega de premios dio inicio a la cena de confraternidad, con el reconocimiento a los medallistas y los diplomas a los participantes. En fin, una celebración de la gente del Club, para la gente del Club. La cena fue un gran momento de amistad, con remeros de todas las épocas que nos juntamos para compartir nuestras experiencias, y un rico asado. Una especial mención a Álvaro Silva por su precisión en la parrilla.
Un gran agradecimiento a esta familia remera que desde hace 10 años confía en nosotros, y ¡esperamos seguir remando juntos muchos años más! ¡Ahora a ponerle el hombro a los próximos desafíos!
